Hello Bulldog Families
This week, February 6th through February 10th, is National Counseling Week! We would like to thank our amazing counselor, Miss Ahmarin for all she does for the Dodge community.
Parent-Teacher conferences are this month. Students will be dismissed at 12:50pm on Thursday, February 9th and Friday, February 10th. Conferences are scheduled with students based on need, if you feel you need to meet with your child's teachers, please reach out to them for an appointment.
Rodeo break is just around the corner! On Thursday, February 23rd and Friday, February 24th, there will be no school. Wednesday, February 22nd will be a regular dismissal of 2:50pm.
University High School testing for 7th graders will be held February 28th. Please make sure your child is ready with a good night's sleep and healthy breakfast that day. They will need to arrive on time with their laptop charged.
Family Engagement Night is rescheduled for Wednesday, March 1st. Join us at 4:45pm if you would like to start the evening buying a slice of pizza. The events will begin at 5pm. Visit classrooms and booths for activities you can do at home with your student. If you can't make it to campus, follow Ms. Arvayo on Facebook Live!
Our next band and orchestra concert is coming up on March 9th. It is always a joy to watch our students perform. We hope to see you there.

Student Programs
The Tucson Korean Ambassador Program has been a huge success with 16 Dodge students engaged in activities with students from Dietz K-8 and Magee Middle School. Together we learned about culture, visited Tombstone and the Desert Museum and much more.
Student Course Requests for 2023-2024 School Year
Our 6th and 7th grade students are completing course requests for next year. Please review with your child, sign the form, and return to their social studies teacher.
We need the forms as soon as possible to create our master schedules for next year.

Drop off/Pick up IMPORTANT UPDATES
The bus bay is moving to the south side of our campus on Pima St. This entrance is for buses only. No parking, drop off, or pick up.
West Parent drop off/pick up will use our main parking lot entrance and follow the flow of traffic. Students will enter and exit campus through the gate at the north end of the parking lot. Please watch for direction from our staff. It is our goal to get you in and our of the lot as quickly and safely as possible. Traffic leaving the parking lot may ONLY turn right onto Pima St.
East Parent drop off/pick up will use our bay on N. Sahuara. Please only drop off/pick up on the curb. Traffic leaving this pay may turn left or right onto Pima St.
Dodge Student Dress Code
The dress code aims to help students maintain their appearance within the accepted standards of Dodge Traditional Magnet Middle School. Our school colors are black and teal.
CHOICES FOR BOTTOM GARMENTS:
Color/Style:
The dress code includes solid-colored black or Khaki beige Dockers or jeans-style pants, shorts, or skirts made of cotton blends, denim, or corduroy fabrics. All garments must be hemmed. No overalls, ultra-baggy, or pants/shorts with holes are allowed. Belts, if worn, must be secured in loops.
Pants and knee-length shorts are acceptable. However, wallet chains must be kept out of sight, i.e., in the pocket of pants or shorts.
Shorts, skorts, skirts, or capris will be no shorter than your fingertips with your hand naturally at your side.
Dresses may also be worn if they are the correct length, have sleeves, and are of a modest fit and style. Dresses must be black, Khaki, or a dress code shirt color. Leggings and fish-net stockings are not allowed.
No undergarments should be visible. No ripped pants or holes in clothing. Accessorizing your outfit must not distract the learning environment.
CHOICES FOR TOP GARMENTS:
Color/Style:
The dress code includes solid white, light blue, and dark green polo-style or full button with a short or long sleeve collar. Shirts should be sized appropriately and long enough to remain tucked in a while standing and sitting. Shirts should not be form-fitting. Undershirts should be white or the color of the outer dress code shirt.
Outer Wear:
No pullover hoodies are allowed. Solid color outerwear or outerwear with College/university logos are allowed. The jacket can completely open down the front outerwear that remains open down the front. No pullover sweatshirts may be worn or brought to campus.
Shoes/Sandals:
Due to safety concerns, no flip-flops, slip-on, platforms, or cleats. Socks are recommended and should not be distracting in appearance. Shoes must be closed-toed for safety.
Hair
It should not be of extreme contrast to natural hair color and should not be distracting in appearance—NO unnatural highlights of any color, pink, red, green, or blue.
Jewelry
No jewelry on the eyebrow, nose, lip, or tongue is allowed on campus. In addition, NO gauges or mock gauges are allowed.
Consequences:
Any student found to violate the dress code will be asked to change. Repeat violations will result in more severe consequences.
