Who was involved?
The allies were the US, Poland, and Argentina. The opposing military was Haiti.
It was an intervention designed to remove military regime installed by the 1991 Haitian coup d'etat. The US authorized involvement to remove hostile forces promoting communism.
When and Where?
It took place in Haiti, the official war start date was September 19, 1994 to March 31, 1995.
How the event unfolded?
It started when the US and allies invaded Haiti. In the middle, Colin Powell persuaded Haiti to step down and allow the elected officials to return to power. At the end, the US and allies defeated Haiti and the leaders returned to democratic ways.
Why the event occurred in the way it did?
The United Nations wanted to preserve democracy in Haiti.
