The Dragon's Lair
Mid-Term Update
VFHS Mid-Term Update
End of the 1st Quarter
The planning and preparation put in over the summer is paying off with the technology upgrades and continuity planning ensuring that our transitions to remote learning and back into the classroom have been seamless. Through proactive planning and response, we are ensuring our students' needs are met in and out of the classroom.
There have been many extra-curricular and academic activities occurring at VFHS. Testing has been occurring to identify learning gaps was completed in September using FastBridge to evaluate math, reading, and the social-emotional status of our students. Seniors completed ACT testing on October 6th and anxiously await their results. We have scheduled Pre-ACT testing for the VFHS Freshmen on October 22nd. More information will be forthcoming on the Pre-ACT.
Mrs. Ellerman's FCCLA group is hosting a membership drive and continue to sell Dragon neck gaiters. If you are in need of a neck gaiter for health safety and the upcoming colder weather, please see Mrs. Ellerman or an FCCLA member. The gaiters are $10 and contributions are appreciated.
The 2020-2021 VFHS Student Leadership Team has been finalized and I am looking forward to working with members to develop leadership programs for VFHS students as the year goes on. We are focused on a "Ripple Starts a Wave" as our slogan for the SLT this year.
The VFHS Fall sports teams are wrapping their seasons up and are headed into league, sub-state, and regional competition. Good Luck and Go Dragons!!!!
