Kindness Challenge
Check out the video above from our assembly with Brian Williams from Think Kindness!
THE CHALLENGE = KINDNESS EXPLOSION
The entire student body has been challenged to carry-out acts of kindness in the halls, classrooms, at home and throughout the community. Each student will receive a daily kindness challenge as well as some unique ways to document their acts. So don’t be shocked if you see a little more Kindness around the house.
Challenge #2 – Global Impact
Our entire school has been challenged to collect gently used sneakers that will be sent to needy children and families around the globe. So go through your closet to see if you have any sneakers you don’t wear anymore. (also ask your friends, family and neighbors!) Important – we are only collecting sneakers. Please don’t bring boots, flip-flops, slippers, etc.
Bulldog P.R.I.D.E.
Here at Grange Hall, we utilize a PBIS model for behavior management. PBIS stands for "Positive Behavior Intervention and Support." Bulldog PRIDE is not only our philosophy, but also the principles we use to guide the behaviors we expect from all staff and students.
P - Politeness
R - Respect
I - Integrity
D - Discipline
E - Effort
These expectations are the same in the classroom, hallway, bus, cafeteria, and resource class. We will be reinforcing positive behaviors and supporting students that need additional assistance in this area in a private manner. You can help your student now by discussing what each of those expectations means, and what your expectations for their daily goals and behaviors are. We certainly appreciate your support, as we believe Together We: Learn, Grow, and Lead.
Tech It Out for Parents!
Car Loop (parent drop-off & pick-up)
We appreciate everyone's cooperation with the changes to our car loop for the 2018-2019 school year. These changes have been put into place for the safety of our students.
After-school parent pick-up. Please read carefully.
- Cafeteria doors will not open until 3:00 pm when our instructional day ends.
- We will NOT be giving out car loop numbers this school year(this is a change).
- We do need ALL students who are scheduled to be parent pick-up to have a car-loop sheet completed and turned in. This will confirm that they are a daily parent pick-up.
- Please have your ID ready for our teachers to verify before signing out your child.
- When leaving Grange Hall, please stay to the right of the median when turning onto Hull St. If you fail to stay to the right, you are impacting our buses from entering the bus loop.
Morning parent drop-off. Please read carefully.
- You will enter GHES from Beaver Bridge road and drive straight to the road behind our building (in the direction of the playground).
- All traffic needs to proceed to the signs in front of Trailer #3 (last trailer). In order to keep traffic flowing, please pull forward to the signs. Once we unload the 6-7 cars between the signs, cars should continue the flow of traffic to the signs.
- All students being dropped off by parents in the morning are required to stay in their vehicles until released by GHES faculty/staff.
- Doors will not open until 8:15 a.m. At that time students will be directed by assigned staff from their cars to the nearest doorway.
- All teachers will be standing at classroom doors to direct students once inside the building. Additional staff will be available to assist our newest bulldogs and kindergarten students.
- Tardy Bell rings at 8:30 a.m. - if you are not in the parent drop-off line before 8:30, please park and walk your child into school to sign them in.
Student Transportation Changes
Any students being picked up by a parent/guardian after 2:30 pm will be sent to parent pick-up in the cafeteria.
