Newbery Award Book Discussion (course id 2264) - This is the place to be if you enjoy reading and discussing quality, newly published works of either fiction or nonfiction. The Newbery Medal is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the author of the most distinguished contribution to American

Coretta Scott King Book Award (course id 2280) - This course will go over the process on how the Coretta Scott King Book Award committee selects winning books. Participants will read contenders for the 2016 Coretta Scott King Book Award, research notable authors/illustrators, and finally discuss the books and their potential classroom implementations with fellow educators. Take part in the Coretta Scott King Book Award discussion group to read, research, and discuss high quality books that you can use in your curriculum and instruction.
