Senior Letter/Graduation
Seniors, Parents, and Guardians,
The following information is presented in the spirit of making sure you do all of the right things over the course of the final few weeks. The tone is going to come off as too rules-oriented and informational for some of you, but that is the reality of the final weeks. So, here are some things you should know as we move forward with our eyes focused on graduation day, June 14th.
- Your behavior in the closing days may determine whether you walk at graduation. Any suspension in the last few weeks requires a parent conference to determine whether you will be allowed the privilege of walking at graduation.
- Your attendance is also an issue and if you want the benefits of the end of the year, you must be here. Attendance has a profound effect on performance.
- See counselors for graduation status.
- Check out sheets must be turned in in order to walk. If you have fines, pay them off.
- If you have yet to do your High School and Beyond Plan, you must see Mr. Jones in the Career Center.
- Senior Awards Night is at 6:00 p.m. on June 9th. If you have received or will receive an award you will get an invitation.
- Finals are June 9th and June 10th.
- June 13th is senior breakfast, checkout day, and the Moving Up Assembly. This is a special day and we expect everyone to participate. Your 8 free graduation tickets will be given to you after checkout, and you can buy more tickets here or at the Dome. Tickets for purchase are $5 each and there are no refunds.
- Graduation rehearsal is June 13th at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium. You must be there and be on time as this is a vital practice session.
- Graduation is at 4:00 p.m. on June 14th. Your behavior at graduation is important. Do not embarrass yourself, your family, or the school. If you choose to act foolishly, you will owe me 80 hours of service if you want to collect your diploma.
