The Bulldog's Bark
October 2021
Dear Bulldog Families,
Fall is in the air, and my heart is thrilled! I love this time of year not just because of the brisk air and the beautiful colors, but because it's also the time our children begin to find their confidence in the classroom. As we settle into the second half of the first trimester, please don't hesitate to encourage your child to talk to their teachers if they are seeking ways to increase this confidence that leads to greater success.
One area of growth we want to see in all of our Bulldogs are specific executive function skills that will best support them in and out of school. Executive function skills support our children in the way they learn, work, and manage daily life; skills that allow all of us to successfully plan, set goals, and be flexible when curve balls are thrown our way. Our families can support our Bulldogs by checking their child's planner daily to ensure the planner was completed for every class. This support in the area of planning will help encourage and hold our students accountable in turning in assignments to their classes; missing assignments are the leading cause to low grades. Please don't hesitate to reach out to your teacher if you have any further questions on how you can best support your child.
Enjoy the change in the season, Bulldog Families!
Warmly,
Mrs. Solano
