Unit Organizers and Snapshots!
GRADES!
First nine weeks grades need to be submitted by 8:00 am Monday morning, October 22. Once grades are all in, make sure you hit the submit button. If you have problems with submitting your grades, contact your team lead. If you don't see the submit button, you might need to open gradebook in another web browser.
Tyra will run proof sheets at 8:30 am next Monday. Make sure your grades are submitted by that time! Don't make Tyra hunt you down!
Proof sheets will be placed in your box by noon next Tuesday. YOU WILL NEED TO LOOK AT THE INFORMATION ON EACH SHEET AND SIGN AND DATE EACH SHEET. ANY CORRECTIONS SHOULD BE DONE IN RED INK. THEY NEED TO BE RETURNED TO TYRA 8:00 AM NEXT TUESDAY MORNING.
If you have a student who is missing work that can still be submitted, please put an Incomplete. All incompletes need to be reconciled by Friday, October 26. To reconcile an incomplete, you must complete the grade correction form and submit it to Tyra.
Report cards will be run next Wednesday and mailed home next Friday.
Citizenship Grades - make sure you read!
You are expected to follow this rubric when assigning students citizenship grades for the 1st nine weeks. Students who earn all E's in their classes will be rewarded. My suggestion is to have students self-assess - that's the best way for them to learn the expectations. Then if you disagree with their self-assessment, it's a great reason to have a conversation with them about what it really means to be a great student.
Career Speaker on Wednesday
Daniel Lowe will be speaking to students interested in pursuing a career in business. Please encourage all of your 9th grade students and business endorsement students to attend.
Feel free to bring your whole class if you would like. Just please come and help supervise.
Cell phone expectations:
No cell phones visible in class.
No earbuds in the ears when teachers are talking.
If cell phone is out - 1. warning first 2. take up for the rest of class 3. Give to office.

It's all hands on deck with nine weeks tests, so Robert Smith and Fogg Machine will probably not be in inclusion classes.
Girls state - need nominees!
From Mrs. Huerta -
Teachers, As we do each year could you please nominate girls to participate in the girls state. Last year we had Sydney Smith participate and she enjoyed it very much. Girls State is summer leadership and citizenship programs sponsored by The American Legion and the American Legion Auxiliary for high school juniors. While participating students typically engage in a number of political activities such as running for office, electing officials, drafting and debating bills, and making motions.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Red Ribbon Week is October 22 - 26. Here are the themes for each day (Thursday and Friday will be reversed). Start spreading the word!
The Pruitt-Fogg-Huerta Baby Shower will be Wednesday, October 31, at 4:00 in the MAC!

Fogg Machine and wife Megan - had baby Andi in July (need WIPES and diapers)
Meghin Huerta and Nathan - expecting a baby in late November (need diapers - NOT size 1 and wipes)
Old, but important, stuff -
