WKU College Visit
Rising seniors and rising juniors will have an opportunity to take a free trip to tour Western Kentucky University on Tuesday, June 2nd. We will leave Collins at 8AM and return by 4:30PM. This trip is a first come first serve. Please email Ms. Gorman at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in your student participating.
Dual Credit Opportunities
Dual Credit allows juniors and seniors to earn college credit and high school credit at the same time. Dual credit can help students get ahead in their studies and also save them money down the road. Please check out this link to learn more about our dual credit opportunities.
Make sure your student is keeping their grades up!
All high school students are eligible for the KEES Scholarship. This is an automatic scholarship that can be used for all 4 years at a Kentucky university of technical college. Students must keep a GPA of a 2.5 or higher in order to accumulate money. Click here to see what your student can earn!
CERT - Free ACT Practice
Did you know that every student at Collins has access to free ACT prep materials? CERT, an online ACT prep program allows students to practice problems and enhance skills to prepare them for the ACT. At this point, all juniors and sophomores have taken at least one practice ACT. CERT allows them to access their test scores, see which problems they missed, and how to answer missed problems correctly. Access the CERT website here. Unsure of your student's username and password? Email Ms. Gorman (email@example.com) and she will get that to you.
