Lincoln County 4-H T-Shirts Have Arrived
Tattooing your Beef Project
The Nebraska State Fair often has issues crop up when checking in 4-H breeding beef. Tattoos are either missing, incorrect or re-tattos have been done too close to fair time.
Reminder the policy in the State Fairbook states: Registered heifers MUST have legible tattoo matching registration and online nomination. Commercial heifers may have a legible tattoo OR an EID tag matching the online nomination.
Any heifer not having a legible tattoo or that shows evidence of a fresh or recent tattoo, will be disqualified from the show. This is true for both registered breeding heifers as well as British Breed steers.
Available resources include the link below to a step-by-step video detailing how and why we tattoo beef projects:
Nebraska College Rodeo Roping Clinic
The UNL College Rodeo Team & Coach will be coming to the Wheeler County Fair grounds in Bartlett on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 for a Roping Clinic, ALL levels of skill are welcome to attend with your horse.
Breakaway, Tie Down, and Team Roping, plus Box Work & Sled Roping, will be discussed
PLEASE pre-Register by JUNE 25th to Marshall Peterson at marshall.peterson@unl.edu and for more info.
