It going to get cold
We have reached that first point of winter when the weather could cause challenges traveling back and forth from home and school. Cold weather is predicted to arrive Monday (school holiday) and ice and snow may also be included. KAES will continue to monitor weather through Monday and will make decisions for Tuesday no later than 7:00 pm Monday evening. Please stay safe and warm this weekend.
Eagle launch
We are glad to share that we have an eagle launch for two students this week. Nevaeh and Bailey both recently chose to start a more specific journey with Jesus. We are so proud of our students!
MAP Testing
Next week is our Winter MAP testing. This test helps us see how your child is learning so far over the school year. These are regular school days but classes will be arranged for testing times. Help your child get a good night sleep, eat healthy and share positive encouragement. You may also want to ask your child teacher if you can send the class healthy snacks during test days.
KAES Scripps Spelling Bee
KAES Scripps Spelling Bee
Congratulations to our top spellers, Mia 1st, Mekenna 2nd, Nico 4th and Andrew 4th. Mia, our bee winner, will now study more words and prepare for our regional bee.

Winter Jackets
As the temperature gets colder it is important that students dress for the cooler temperatures. It is likely students will still go outside even though it is cold and will need their jackets. If you are missing a jacket come and look through our lost jacket rack. You might be surprised by what you find.
KAES Uniform Resale Shop
KAES is blessed to have a resale shop where families can find school clothes. We also thank everyone who donates their old uniforms. We are needing help keeping all the uniforms clean and organized. If you are interested in helping, please contact the school office. You are needed!
