Content Retreat Follow-Up
Maslow before Marzano
Thank You!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for filling my cup, today. It was such a joy to work with a group that was engaged and supportive of each others' work. We talked about the students needing Maslow before Marzano, but we do, too, and so do those we serve. Keeping that in mind for the year will serve our team well.
Keep your AME on the target.
Keep your tea cup full.
Work as a team.
Our AMEs (Attitude, Motivation, and Effort)
- Truth, honesty, and confidentiality need to be the standard in our discussions.
- We will engage in concise communication and critique the thinking of others.
- We will assume positive intentions.
- We will ask for help and cooperate with each other to achieve more than we could alone.
- While maintaining a focus on precision, we will also engage in global thinking.
- We will be a department that empowers others.
- We will know when we are to play a solo and when we are to play with the ensemble, and we will value each role equally.
We embrace the goal of gracious professionalism:
- encourage high quality work
- emphasize the value of others
- respect individuals and the community
