Dublin Jerome High School
August 30, 2019
Good Afternoon!
It was a fun and full week here at Jerome. All activities and classes are in full swing and there was positive energy throughout the building. There are so many great things that are happening in our hallways, classrooms and beyond. Each day I walk around the building impressed with our students in their desire to learn and our staff who is working hard to innovate and empower students.
While I know that each of you understands and appreciates Dublin Jerome and Dublin City Schools, it should not go unsaid that our students and staff are some of the best in the state and country. I wake up each day grateful to be a part of such an experience. Thank you for trusting us to provide you the quality experience they deserve.
Have a wonderful three day weekend!
Go Celts!
Mike

College Application Process
This week counselors began meeting with 12th graders to go through the College Application Process. They met with seniors in English classes at Jerome on Thursday, August 29th, and then at the Emerald Campus with seniors taking an IB English class on Friday, August 30th.
On September 3rd and 4th, counselors will also be hosting 4 sessions for any 12th grader who is taking their English through College Credit Plus, or for any senior who may have missed the presentations on Thursday or Friday. These sessions will be held before school (7:15 am) and after school (3:00 pm) on both days and all sessions will be held in the DJHS library.
Here is a link to the presentation that counselors are sharing with seniors (use Google Chrome as your browser): https://prezi.com/ahhwvwqdobei/the-college-application-process/?utm_campaign=share&utm_medium=copy
Student Transcripts
Additionally, in order for student’s transcripts to be sent to a college or university, each student must have a parent complete the Transcript Release permission slip. If you attended the Senior Parent Meeting on the night of Open House, you would have completed and submitted this form at that time. The form can be submitted in person to the Jerome Guidance Office.
