Principal's Weekly Update 5/13/16
Nancy S. Gerstner, Ed. D.
Our school community was very saddened with the passing of long-time coach Jeanine Pestle. Coach Pestle coached several sports over fourteen years, and also served as a substitute teacher for many years at BCS. She will be sorely missed!
The International Baccalaureate CAS (Community, Action, Service) students are very excited about the upcoming service trip to Cuba in December. Students will gather and re-plant mangrove seeds on the Zaza River to help strengthen the local ecosystem. They will also have an opportunity to learn about the Cuban culture as they visit an 18th-century sugar plantation. Kudos to High School Counselor, Felice Prindle, who has invested much time and energy researching and planning this adventure.
The Budget Vote and School Board Elections are scheduled for Tuesday, May17th. The polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm, and are located in the back Galleria area at the Middle/High School.
