In this pathway students begin in Nutrition and Wellness. In this class you will learn about kitchen safety, basic food preparation, kitchen math, and health and wellness. Introduction to Culinary arts builds on these skills and involves more information on careers in this industry. Advanced Culinary Arts prepares students for a career in the food and hospitality industry. Topics include: Introduction to the hospitality industry; food safety and personal hygiene; sanitation and safety; regulations, procedures, and emergencies; basic culinary skills; culinary math; and food preparation techniques and applications.
