Exciting News from Brookwood Elementary - Welcome Back Parents!
We are so excited about welcoming parents and visitors back into the building! With the change in the mask guidance from "required" to "strongly recommended", we wanted to update everyone on our guidelines as it relates to visitors at this time.

Help support Brookwood Elementary School's Relay for Life Team during Re'Lei Hawaiian Week. Donations will be collected each day during arrival. Students can donate each day or as a one time $5 payment.
Hello All Pro Dads & Caring Adults,
Our next All Pro Dads Breakfast is scheduled for Friday, March 11th from 7:30am - 8:00am! Our sponsor, Chick-Fil-A will be providing chicken biscuits for $3.00 each starting at 7:30am . Please park in the Nash Farms subdivision or the 1123 Grace House (the grass lot behind the house will be used for parking as well). If you have any questions, feel free to contact us here. We look forward to seeing everyone for another fantastic time!

Witzzle Pro Members Move on the the Cluster Tournament
Congratulations to the following students who will compete at the Brookwood Cluster tournament for Witzzle Pro on March 17th. These students consistently scored the top points at our practices and on our mock tournament morning last week. We look forward to cheering them on in a couple weeks!

Student Principal of the Day
On Monday, Mrs. Lillard was joined in her daily duties by the Student Principal for a Day. Student Principal Carter Jenkins helped guest host the morning announcements and honor the Readers Rally Team. Then they toured the cafeteria, observed in classrooms, and checked in on the book fair.
Mr. Jenkins and Mrs. Lillard were joined for lunch by students from Mrs. Kim's class who saved 100 Golden Tickets to purchase lunch with the BES Admin Team.
Carter got the opportunity to be Student Principal for a Day through Bidding for Good auction in support of the Brookwood Schools Foundation.
Reminder - Sneakers on PE Days
Please don't forget that your child needs to wear sneakers on his/her PE specials days. Sneakers keep your child safe as they move and are active in the gym. You can find out when your child's PE days are in these ways:

Brookwood Student Artwork Highlighted at the GCPS Tapestry Art Show
Brookwood Elementary had 32 students featured at the Gwinnett County Public Schools' Tapestry Art Show. During the past week, their work was on display at the GCPS Instructional Support Center. The Brookwood Cluster held a reception on Friday, February 25th to honor these students.
Tuesday, March 22 is a Digital Learning Day
On March 22nd, GCPS will have a digital learning day for ALL students. We are grateful for the opportunity to have this day to allow teachers to plan future lessons for students.
On this Digital Learning Day:
- Students can find all their lessons and assignments on eCLASS, but there will be no live instruction. Please view the video below for directions on how to get to your teacher's eCLASS page.
All students will complete their special area class digitally. More information is on the Brookwood ES homepage.
Meals will be delivered along all bus routes.
A MESSAGE FROM The BES HEALTH RESPONSE TEAM
Did you know that Brookwood ES has a Health Response Team (HRT) which manages and communicates COVID related information with staff, students and parents? The HRT gathers information, conducts contact investigations and communicates as needed. In the next few months, it is important that you continue to alert the school if your child develops symptoms or tests positive for the virus.
Common symptoms include:
Fever (100.4 or higher), Cough, Shortness of breath, muscle/body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, congestion/runny nose, nausea/vomiting, sore throat, fatigue

Join Crews Middle School's Bronco Orchestra
Crews Middle School invites you and your rising 6th grader to meet the orchestra teachers and learn more about the Bronco Orchestra. Your student will be participating in a Zoom visit with the Crews Middle School's orchestra teachers during an upcoming music class.
You and your student will also have the opportunity to try out orchestra instruments at the Instrument Petting Zoo events:
- Tuesday, March 22, 1-3pm
- Thursday, March 31, 5-7pm

Save the Date for the Boosterthon Fun Run!
In just 4 weeks, we’ll kick off our Brookwood Elementary School Fun Run on March 23rd! Our goal is to raise $40,000 for technology, classroom resources and to strengthen our school community. This year more than ever, we need additional funds to provide an excellent educational experience for all of our students. We completely understand if your family is not in a position to financially support the school right now. You can still be involved by simply SHARING about our fundraiser with friends and extended family online at https://mybooster.com/. Sharing IS supporting! All students will participate in the Brookwood Elementary School Fun Run, regardless of financial participation. We will also be following our school safety guidelines to ensure a safe and fun experience for everyone.

2022 Bronco Aces
Bronco Aces Club is for future Brookwood Bronco tennis players ages 14 and under. They will be hosting the Bronco Aces Tennis Fun Days on Sunday, March 6th, 20th, and 27th. Elementary and middle school students will get a chance to receive instruction from the Brookwood Tennis Coaches as well as the Brookwood JV and Varsity tennis teams. Middle School Summer Adventures: Career Exploration at Maxwell High School of Technology
The Summer Adventure Career Exploration at Maxwell High School will run May 31 - June 3 from 8:00 am - 12:00 pm. The Career Exploration programs are designed for current 5th - 8th graders. Students can choose to explore programs in the careers of animation, automotive services, cosmetology, culinary arts, and more.
