"Colorado FBLA To Host State Leadership Conference In-Person After Two Years
Aurora, Colorado, (April 18-20, 2022 ), 4 members of the Colorado Future Business Leaders of America from Berthoud High School had the opportunity to attend and compete at the 2022 FBLA State Leadership Conference. Throughout the conference, members had the opportunity to make connections with members across the state, network with business professionals, showcase their talents and skills, and become better leaders within their schools and communities. This three-day conference provided members with the various educational workshops, inspiring and powerful keynote speakers, and the opportunity to get involved in various community service projects. Members were able to compete in over 70 different competitive events ranging from objective tests, to roleplays, to speeches.
Colorado FBLA, a chartered member of National FBLA, is a registered 501 (c)3. Their mission is to bring business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership and career development programs. Colorado FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences."
Congratulations to our very own Bryan Gomez Garcia and Cayman Freeman on finishing in the Top Ten for their events at State. Bryan took 9th in Computer Applications and Cayman took 9th in Computer Problem Solving. Well done!

Recognize a Staff Member
STUDENTS!
Is there a staff member at BHS who you think is doing a great job, who is kind or hardworking or makes a difference in your day? Complete a short form and they'll get your message, along with a special gift!
Use this link for the form:

BHS Parking Permits
ALL students that drive to BHS are required to display a parking permit in their vehicle to park on campus. Please register your vehicle at the following link: http://bit.ly/bhspermit or use the QR code posted by the main office for your FREE parking permit (1st=free, if replacement is needed=$2.00/ea.) Once you have completed the form and it has been processed, you will be called to the office to pick up your permit. The permits are good until they graduate and will be turned in at that time.
Why is this necessary? For the students and staff safety we need information on every vehicle here at the school. Any vehicle without a permit or who is parked in violation of other school rules or laws may receive a Parking Violation from BHS. First offense is a $20.00 fine and fines go up for second and third violations. Payment must be made to the school’s Bookkeeping Office within 14 days after receiving the violation. Continual violations or a serious violation may result in loss of parking privileges at BHS. If you have any questions, please speak with SRO Deputy, Vince Mosley or Campus Security, Deb Dillon.

Community Service
Community service is work done by a person or group of people that benefits others. It is often done near the are where you live, so your own community reaps the benefits of our work. You do not get paid to perform community service, but rather you volunteer your time. Please click here for the Community Service Guidelines and paperwork needed. This paperwork for the class of 2022 was due to Mrs. Lutz on 3/11/22. If you are a senior and did not complete this requirement, please see Mrs. Lutz ASAP. The Community Service Advisor is Mrs. Lutz, email kristin.lutz@tsd.org.
