Capital City

The capital city of Cambodia is Phnom Penh. It's the largest city in Cambodia.

Population

There are 15,025,000 people in Cambodia. Most of the people are Khmer. Many Khmers are farmers. Many of these farmers live in small villages. Some people weave their own cloth or build their own furniture.

History

Cambodia became independent in 1953. It's full name is: Kingdom of Cambodia. Khmer Rouge killed 2 million people because he hated people that didn't believe what he believed. The main languages are French, English, and Khmer (official).

System Of Government

Cambodia's government is a democratic government with help of a king. A democratic government is a government that is run by the people that live in the country.

Crops and Agriculture

Cambodia's soil is very fertile. It is good for growing crops, such as rice and rubber trees.

Climate

The climate is mostly tropical with high temperatures all year long. There is also a rainy season from may to November.

Landforms

Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and the Gulf of Thailand surround Cambodia. Half of Cambodia is mostly rainforest. The Mekong river is the larges river in Cambodia.
