The Native Americans in the Western Expansion took place in 1850 -1881. The Western Expansion is when some open land had be found. Then everyone wanted some of it, and started to move.

They traveled on horses or walked.
Hunting
They hunted Buffalo and bison. They ate every single part of them. That is what they lived off of basically.
Location
The Western Expansion stretched from the Mississippi river to the Rocky Mountains and from Canada to New Orleans. There where many trails to different areas.
Some Main Tribes
Cherokee- moved from the Great Lakes region to the southern Appalachian Mountains.
Blackfoot- Migrated from the Great Lakes north and west into the Saskatchewan River valley, Canada, and Montana.
