Parents should access each zoom meeting in the usual order of periods in their child’s schedule. To attend to limits on Zoom meeting participants, please be sure to log into your child’s specific period and at the designated time. The period length and bell schedule for the night can be found on the Curriculum Night Schedule & Teacher Template 2021.
Your child completed this schedule during advisory and was asked to email it directly to you and copy their advisory teacher. If you did not receive an email from your child, you may complete this template at home or email their advisory teacher.
DW social workers, psychologists, speech therapists and other interventionists will be available for parents to “drop in” via zoom from 5:30 p.m. to 5:55 p.m. You can find the links to each zoom meeting on the Curriculum Night Zoom Links by Staff Member 2021. All teacher links will be inserted by Monday.
Because the DW Administrative team is unable to meet you in person at this time, we have created a short video with general information about Standards-Based Grading at Daniel Wright.
Prior to conferences, please check for an email from your child that includes their schedule of classes. If you can not locate it, please collaboratively complete this template with your child - Curriculum Night Schedule & Teacher Template 2021.
Half Day curriculum nights are Aug. 25-26. Sprague curriculum nights are Sept. 1-2.
Providing Academic Success for Students
We are pleased to tell you about the P.A.S.S. (Providing Academic Success for Students) after school academic program at Daniel Wright. The P.A.S.S. program is an excellent opportunity for students to take advantage of the resources available at Daniel Wright after the regular school day.
P.A.S.S. is scheduled to begin on Monday, August 30, 2021, and will be offered to students Monday through Thursday from 3:40 p.m. - 4:55 p.m. The P.A.S.S. after school academic program should not be considered a year long commitment and students should attend this program on an “as needed” basis. The P.A.S.S. program is intended to be used for receiving additional materials and support when needed. Please note that students are expected to remain in P.A.S.S. until 4:55 p.m. unless a parent/guardian comes in to sign him/her out.
There is no fee for the P.A.S.S. after school program and bus transportation is provided for students who need transportation home. Buses depart from D.W. from the end of the 8th grade hallway by 5:00 p.m. Please note that P.A.S.S. bus routes are not the same as the usual A.M. and P.M. bus routes. Therefore, students will be dropped off in close proximity to their regular bus stops.
If you have any questions regarding the P.A.S.S. program, please do not hesitate to contact the Daniel Wright office at (847) 295-1560.
The 2021-2022 school year automated attendance calling will begin Monday, August 30.
Automated messaging will be sent to parents via phone call, text, and email from our messaging service, BlackBoard.
If your child will be absent or tardy, please contact the appropriate school by the following time so that you will NOT receive an automated message of your child’s absence.
