December 2021
Letter from the Director
Hard to believe we are at the end of the year and it will soon be 2022.
I’m excited to invite you this year to everything The Big Sky Community Library offers. I believe in the power of public libraries to transform lives and help us each reach our potential. I see this every day through the services we provide, the lives we touch, and the relationships built.
The Big Sky Community library is the ultimate possibilities place. What other venue is open to everyone, requires no fee to enjoy the services, offers high-level staff assistance, provides resources on almost any topic, and showcases programming for all ages?
The Big Sky Community Library continues to be open four days a week, Mondays 10:00-6:00 (story time @ 10:30), Tuesdays 4-8, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2-6.
Our online services are available 24/7. Stream a movie, get an ebook ,e-magazine, or read a NY Times news article in an instant. Learn a new language, find a trustworthy answer to a question in our premier online resources, or get customized recommendations delivered via email.
It all starts with a library card. Come visit us and see how the library can open new possibilities for you.
Finally, thank you for your continued support.
Happy Holidays and cheers to a healthy 2022!
Take care of yourself and each other!
Sincerely,
Danielle Kabisch

“I Am Rural America”
- Louder Together – “I Am Rural America” National Poetry Competition from Voices and Faces: The Voices and Faces Project is an award-winning non-profit storytelling project and testimonial writing program is joining with Justice for Migrant Women to solicit poetry submissions that speak to the statement “I Am Rural America” and shine a light on outdated notions of who represents rural North and South America. You can submit entries through the Google Form below, and the Louder Together team will weave together lines from accepted submissions to create a crowdsourced poem representing rural America. Contributors will be fully credited, and the submission deadline is January 1st, 2022.
