Earn your 3rd Apple Teacher Badge for KEYNOTE
Choose Note in Seesaw, write a DETAILED reflection/review of your Learning. Be very detailed specific about the things you learned and discovered in the iBook about using KEYNOTE. Give specific examples in your reflection.
Take the quiz to earn your KEYNOTE Badge: The quiz is on the bottom of the page from the KEYNOTE section of the Apple Teacher Learning Center site after you login with your Apple ID.
You will need to get 4-5 correct to pass and earn your badge. You may take the quiz as many times as you need to, but it is different questions each time. Reading the iBook will make the quiz much easier!! I know it seems silly I say that, but I also know many of you will just skip to the quiz!!
READ THE BOOK!
Login into http://appleteacher.apple.com. Download the iBook, read it, practice the activities and take the quiz to earn your Badge.
Post your Reflection of Learning in Seesaw with the NOTE tool and the title Keynote Badge.
Reflection: They should be getting BETTER
You writing should represent scholarly writing and deep thought. Be specific and detailed. THis should be a DEEP discussion of what you learned.
YES, you will be creating a Keynote Presentation Using Magic Movie and other things you learned earning your Badge

- Discover ideas for using Keynote for your own classroom
- Discover resources and of course ideas for the Keynote project you are creating.
- Find how-tos and tutorials related to Keynote.
- Of course, this is also leading up to you eventually creating your own Wakelet of resources shortly, so take a look and advantage of these many resources all in one spot I have gathered for you.
Wakelet is an easy and enjoyable way to organize any content on the web into stunning and visual collections. You can also add your own images and notes. I love Pinterest, mine has upwards of 10,000 resources organized by content area.
But I am really liking Wakelet for super organizing on specific topics like this one Keynote. I have the shortcut browser tool in both Safari and Chrome and the App on my iPad. You will be creating a collection soon too.
A wealth of ideas and examples in this Move-it Magic Presentation to INSPIRE you
Ben Mount, Science Teacher inspires a variety of content areas to use Magic Move, this presentation will blow your mind and all the drawings were done in Keynote
Josh Mika uses Magic Move to explain a science concept in just four slides
Lots of examples from Teachers at this hashtag, type the #magicmovechallenge in your browser and you will find tons of examples
Keynote Project Assignment
- Make sure you have explored the WAKELET or resources and tutorials, as well as watched the examples above before you decide on a lesson for your presentation and begin your project.
- Make sure you have read the Getting Started with KEYNOTE Book and earned your Badge before beginning your presentation. Use the Book as a reference for how to do things.
- Create your CURRICULUM LESSON presentation project in Keynote.
- I hate this question, but somebody always asks, "How long does the presentation need to be?" Well, I don't have a good answer for that, it needs to be complete and thorough, the presentation you would use for a full lesson!!
In other words, this is your presentation to your class of students. I suspect many of you would normally default to Powerpoint for a presentation, but Keynote has very powerful features. You learned many of them in the Getting Started with Keynote Book when you earned your badge and more by exploring the resources and examples above. Now it is time to PRACTICE what you learned.
- Include what you have learned in your presentation, but make sure you include Magic Move someplace in your presentation as well as at least one or more of the other features you discovered from the resources above.
- Choose a topic/unit you will teach in your classroom, stick to CURRICULUM.
- Create your presentation in Keynote, remember, your presentation must include MAGIC MOVE. (Tutorials included in the Keynote resources link above)
- Save/Export your Keynote as a Movie to your Photos and upload your Keynote movie to your Youtube channel, just like last week with your trailer.
- The more times you do something the easier it gets!! Practice is important.
- After you have added your Keynote movie to Youtube, add the Youtube movie URL of your Presentation to Seesaw and PUBLISH to your blog
- Use the Youtube URL for your Keynote movie to add to padlet. https://padlet.com/ded318/keynotespring19
HINTS:
- Upload your video to Youtube. We have uploaded to Youtube last week with iMovie, here is a little more practice at mastering that skill.
- Make sure your video on Youtube is Unlisted or Public. If it is private no one can view it!!
