Our Tweetcher for the week of 12/17 is......Carrie Munsterman
That's the chosen hashtag for 5th grade teacher, Carrie Munsterman's Twitter page this year. Carrie does a FANTASTIC job of tweeting the magic that is taking place in her classroom on a regular basis. Her tweets frequently show her students engaged in active learning. She also does a great job of showcasing the great partnership she has with her Bright Futures Classroom Partner, Clinton Housing Authority.
Thanks for sharing your classroom's magic on Twitter, Carrie!

Hello CSD!
At the bottom of this newsletter please find the 2018 4th quarter edition of the OMNI Updates Newsletter. Not only does this need to be distributed to employees to meet IRS 403(b) Universal Availability requirements, but it also includes information that can give you a better understanding of this type of retirement vehicle. As always….please reach out to me if you have any questions.
I have mentioned this more times than once but please make sure you have created your Navigator account. Navigator is the online platform used to track your health insurance information. One big benefit to Navigator is that it houses all of your claim and Explanation of Benefits information. Anytime you go to the doctor, you want to make sure you log into Navigator and pull your Explanation of Benefits so you know why your insurance did or did not pay for something. I will be happy to meet with you one on one to help you set up your Navigator account and to also review claim history. If you received a bill from a healthcare provider and you are not sure why your insurance has not paid anything and are having trouble matching up information to the online portal, please reach out to me. I’m happy to help. We’ve also got our consortium group, MET, that will aid claims resolution.
I hope you all enjoy the holiday break coming up and get the chance to spend it with those you love.
Happy Holidays!
Emily

*Tell us what you do in the CSD, how long you have been here and why you enjoy being a Cardinal.
This is my third year as the CMS Counselor. I enjoy being a Cardinal for many reasons. I get to do what I love everyday and feel supported in doing so. The relationships I have built with students and staff make coming to school everyday easy.
*Tell us a little bit about your family/where you are from.
I am from the little town of Hamilton which is exactly 2 hours north on 13 highway. Fun fact- Hamilton is the boyhood home of J. C. Penney. I am an only child with the best parents a girl could ask for. My parents are both retired social workers so going into the counseling field came naturally.
*What could you eat everyday and never grow tired of?
Pizza. I’d be embarrassed to admit how often we eat it.
*What did you want to be when you were growing up?
I had high hopes of being an astronaut. I’m glad that ended since it’s almost too anxiety provoking to fly in a plane for me now!
*Name 3 things on your bucket list.
1. Disney Cruise
2. Travel to Hawaii
3. Attend a Chiefs Super Bowl
*What are 3 things people would be surprised to know about you?
1. I was a licensed mental health therapist in Springfield before taking additional classes to get a school counseling certification.
2. I enjoy watching Live PD and Dateline Murder Mysteries.
3. I played collegiate golf; but don’t get too excited because I was really just a warm body for the team.
Jill's a Grandma!
Jill welcomed her first grandson, Tripp Karter on December 6th. This "little" guy wasn't so little as he weighed in at a whopping, 10 pounds 3 ounces and 23 inches long!
Congratulations Jill....enjoy all of those baby snuggles over break!
FUNNY PHOTO OF THE WEEK!
No funny CSD pictures today (I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunities this week), so we leave you with this Pinterest funny.
For those of you in the throes of Elf on the Shelf....you only have another week of remembering to move that little guy....or you could do this. You're Welcome!
