Connections
The Croatan Sound connects to the Albemarle, Pamlico, and Currituck Sounds. It is fed by Spencer Creek, Callaghan Creek, and Deep Ware Point Inlet.
Threats to North Carolina Estuaries
Threats to N.C. estuaries include dredging, wetland drainage, global warming, pollution, excess nutrients, and asphyxiation due to plant overgrowth.
