Mark Twain's Interview
"Mr. Twain, in your new book, I enjoyed your allusion to Robin Hood when the boys were playing games on the island. Why did you choose that particular allusion?"
"Thank you! Well, I chose that allusion because Tom wants to be an outlaw just like Robin Hood was."
"Your very welcome! I think, Mr.Twain, most of us are wondering why Tom took the blame for Becky and will they ever make-up?"
"I won't tell you if they get back together because I don't want to ruin the surprise for anyone who hasn't finished the book but I will tell you why Tom took the blame. It was because Tom loves Becky and wants to make up for the way he acted.
"Hm. Very sweet. Mr. Twain, when you brought up the difference between work and play in your book it made me question the difference myself. What do you think the difference between work and play is?"
"I do think they are different. To me, work is doing something you have to and it isn't fun. Play is doing something enjoyable with your friends and using your imagination."
"Yes I must agree with that. Well, thank you for your time!"
