The STEAM Museum is visiting RMS
The STEAM Museum is visiting Romeo Middle School on May 28th. Through a generous grant provided by the Romeo Foundation for Educational Excellence, all 6th grade Science students will be able to experience this exciting, hands-on event bringing together Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math. Mrs. Raicevich & Mr. Wenz would like to thank the Foundation board and the parent volunteers for helping to provide this unique experience for the RMS 6th grade scientists!
Student of the Quarter
Each quarter teachers at RMS select students who demonstrate a good work ethic, leadership skills, and helpfulness to others. These are the students who were chosen for this quarter.
Nominating Teacher: Wenz
Khalil demonstrated leadership through adversity when his intramural basketball team got off to a rough start. When it would have been easy to throw in the towel, he stepped up and became a mentor to many of the less experienced players on his team. He lead his team to a victory in the IM Championship game.

Liam is a class leader with both his words and actions. He’s always bringing a positive attitude to class and eager to help others. He sets a great example for other kids to follow.

Katie has such a growth mindset. She is willing to make mistakes and share them in class. Her struggles are real and her thinking is deep. Katie continues to impress me and inspire our classroom. I’m so very proud of all her hard work and striving to continue to learn!

Lizzy works hard to put her best effort into each assignment. She’s always smiling and has a positive outlook. Lizzy devours books! She is always searching for and recommending books to others and helping to build our reading community.

Bella always has such a positive attitude towards learning, and she thrives when faced with challenging tasks. She has a gentle and kind way of helping out her classmates, and she always demonstrates consideration for others. She is a true role model.

A.J. not only keeps me on my toes in class, he fills me in on items that I’ve missed (or left out), and sometimes teaches me new things. He is always focused on his work and prepared to share with class. He has insights that most kids don’t think about and he brings a real interesting and thought-provoking dynamic to class.

Braeden has proven himself to be a very hard worker in Language Arts class. All of the work that he puts in at home has really made him a shining star in class. He cares about his work quality a lot! I am so happy to see how far he has come. He should be proud of his growth.

Ellie has done a fine job holding herself accountable and growing increasingly responsible for the workload in 8th grade. She takes advantage of all of the help and guidance offered to her and uses it to improve herself and grow as a learner. I am so proud of her!

Nathan is one of the hardest workers in class. He is always striving to to better and really engages in the learning each and every day. He is also a great leader and helps others without being asked. His growth mindset is top notch and it is really helping him be the best that he can be. Keep up the great work Nathan!

Kyle is always willing to participate in any student council activity. Recently he was the star of the recycling video that student council created and he also produced a Kahoot about Earth Day that was shared with the entire school. He always has a smile on his face and warm greeting for me every morning. I appreciate the positive vibe he always has.
C.J. Barrymore’s Eligibility Requirements
June 10, 2019- $20.00 Per Student
To be eligible to attend - Beginning April 8th
(4th quarter), students must have:
No more than two after-school detentions, NO extended detentions, and NO suspensions. All library or book fees, athletic fees, Chromebook fees, or fines of any kind must be paid, and overdue books must be returned in order to purchase a ticket!!! This year’s event takes place on June 10th. Permission slips will be sent home at the end of the month.
8th Grade Band and Vocal Cedar Point Trip
Friday, June 14th
Depart PMS Front parking lot at 6:30 a.m.
Return at approx. 10:30 p.m. to PMS Front parking lot.
