VOYAGERS AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
MARCH/APRIL 2021
Diamond Painting
Cardinal Carpenters
This class is such a popular class that Maranda Degenhardt is teaching three sessions of this class. We just finished our first Cardinal Carpenters class. Students made coat racks and candle holders. The second round of Cardinal Carpenters classes start the week after spring break and the third round will start in April.
PenPal Program / Cardinal Correspondents
About a dozen Middle School students have been exchanging PenPal letters each week to residents at the Chippewa Manor. Students and residents created Valentines Day cards and students have even created birthday cards for their special friends. Students and residents hope to continue writing for as long as possible and hope to be able to meet in person someday.
Homework Central
Virtual Guitar Lessons
We are in our third round of 6-week sessions of virtual guitar lessons. The instructor is Jeff Jaworski from Eau Claire School of Music. He works with each student at their individual level. Many students have their own guitar, but Voyagers also has guitars for students to borrow.
Fun with Peeps
This Voyagers Virtual class consists of a take home kit that contains enough supplies to make two Peep houses and two Peep Twinkie cars. "Hop to it! Easter is almost here and this project will get you in the mood for sure!
