Immigrants came from Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Australia-Hungary, and Russia in the years of 1880-1920.
PUSH AND PULL!
The immigrants came left their countries because they were hungry, poor, unemployed, treated unfairly because of their race or religion. They came to America for a better way of life and freedom.

Ellis Island is an immigration station. It also is small 24 acres.
