3-D Printer Fun!
Students at Madison School were very excited to use our new 3D printer for the first time. They were able to watch the printer build a three-dimensional heart charm. The objects are created using computer-aided design software and then thermoplastic filament is melted and extruded into layers to create a three-dimensional object. The students are looking forward to designing and printing their own creations!

Work Experience Trainee Highlight
Bret is a 1990 MHS graduate and has been overseeing things at the "even newer" Y since 2009. Bret is no stranger to the Y and the programs they offer the community as he spent countless hours using the Y facilities while growing up. The Y organizations, YMCA and YWCA, have been providing programming for community residents to help promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility since 1868,
We would like to thank Bret, Robin Leaf, and all the Y staff for working with our trainees over many years to develop the employability skills that they will use throughout their lives. Thank you all and hope for your continued success in servicing the needs of the Muscatine community for the next 150 years.
Mrs. Phillips' EL Class
The El high school students field trip to the Deep Lake and Discovery Park.
Mr. Bobay's AP Chemistry Class
Mr. Johnson's Welding Classes
Mr. Johnson's welding classes just finished a headache rack for a Transportation Dept. service truck. It was designed by students in Introduction to Engineering and Design class. The letters were cut out using a CNC (computer numerical control) Plasma Cutter. (The cardboard is just so you can see the letters.)
