Summertime Fun!!
Hello Northside Families,
Hello Northside Families,
We made it through our school year! We learned what virtual learning looks like in preschool and still worked on maintaining those relationships with our students. Thank you for attending zoom meetings, working on NTI packets, doing class projects, sending pictures to your teachers and taking on the role of schoolteacher daily. I know it was tough at times, but you rose to the occasion. I was so very proud of all of the unique approaches I saw you use when working with your children to learn kindergarten readiness skills! You rocked it!
Let’s Slide into Summer!
Summer is a time to get out and enjoy but there are so many ways that you can learn through summer play! How about hopscotch with numbers and letters or even write a letter of their name in each square! Blow bubbles and count how many bubbles are in the air. Get creative and have fun! We have included some ideas and fun activities for you.
Kindergarten Here We Come!
Some of you are moving onto kindergarten and we will miss you so much! Children tend to forget some skills over the summer and to help make sure that doesn’t happen we have included a summer packet. Incoming Kindergarteners, we have included a one page K-Readiness checklist to help you target those K-Readiness skills. Spending even 15 minutes daily on learning tasks and reading a book daily will help keep your child ready for his next big step. We wish you the best and know that they will each shine as they move up to being big kindergartners.
Enjoy your Summer Busy Bees!!,
