MYP update of the week
Students in year 5 (10th grade) of the Middle Years Programme complete a personal project. The personal project provides an excellent opportunity for students to produce a truly personal and often creative product/outcome and to demonstrate a consolidation of their learning in the MYP. The project offers many opportunities for differentiation of learning and expression according to students’ individual needs. Our partner school, Central High School, is having a Personal Project Fair on Monday, March 27 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at Central High School. All Ramsey families are welcome to attend to see the culmination of the MYP that starts at Ramsey.
This week at Ramsey
Beginning Band Parents: Students in beginning band have been required to turn in practice logs--signed by a parent or guardian--every two weeks this semester. However, several have not yet done so. If you have not seen one yet, please check in with your student musician about them. You can find them in Schoology or on my teacher page. There are also paper copies in the band room. - Mr. Drew Kunkel
This week in Ms. Fontana's ELA Workshop 7 class, students have been focusing on writing strong body paragraphs that analyze the evidence and refute a counterclaim for their argument essays. We will be finishing argument essays next week in class.
On Friday, March 10, Student Council organized a Hat Day to raise money for cancer patients through the Heavenly Hats organization. We had great participation from the students and staff and raised $81 for hats for cancer patients.
