Work Permits & Jobs:

Looking for a job? Jobs are posted on the Career Center board and on Facebook. If you need a work permit, you will need to download a copy of the work permit application from the Petaluma High School Career Center website. After you complete the work permit application, you will need to go to the following places to obtain the actual permit:


  • June 3-June 30 (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8am-12pm): Ms. Keaton in the Principal's office at PHS
  • July 1-31 (M-F, 8am-3pm): Petaluma City School's District Office located at 200 Douglas Street, Petaluma, CA 94952
  • August 3-18 (Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8am-12pm): Ms. Keaton in the Principal's office at PHS
  • Beginning August 19: Ms. Stoll in the PHS College & Career Center


Petaluma Coalition to Prevent Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drug Problems: Looking for interested students and parents to attend their monthly meetings (3rd Thursday of every month at PV Hospital). Overall goals are drug & alcohol prevention and decreasing youth access to substances. Community service hours are available and students have the opportunity to develop leadership, attend trainings, film PSA videos, and attend city council meetings. College Planning & SRJC Info

Events this summer:


Colleges that Change Lives (open to all grade levels): Free college conference on Tuesday, July 28th in San Rafael. More info here.


Moving Toward College (class of 2016 only): Monday, July 13th 8:30am-5pm at Dominican University for students to start preparing their applications, learn about financial aid, speak with current college students and more! Free for students and lunch is included. Plus a chance to win a $500 scholarship for attending! Register here.


SRJC Classes: If you plan to take any class at SRJC, you need a concurrent enrollment form and it must be signed by a counselor and principal. Registration for high school students opens on July 13th at 6am. Once enrolled in a class, please contact your counselor so we can adjust your schedule.


Schedule pick up: schedules will not be available until Trojan Roll Call, happening August 13th & 14th. School starts, Wednesday, August 19th.


Summer School: Schedules should be going out in the mail after June 10th, if you have questions please call 707-778-4677. From June 22nd-July 24th at Casa Grande HS.


NCCA: Are you a student athlete? Do you plan to play sports in college? Be sure to register with the NCAA here.
