Honoring Those Who Have Served
This Friday, November 11th, we honor our US Veterans. We are so very fortunate to have three veterans at Libby, Mr. Furqueron, Mr. Woods, and Mr. Allen. The amazing experience they bring to our Libby team is second to none.
School is closed this Friday in observance of Veterans Day. Let us always show our gratitude to those who have served our great country. Their families are extremely proud and supportive, and all of us at Libby are too. Thank you!

Please Be On Time for Drop-Off and Pick-up
Our school day starts at 8:15am every day. We close our gates at 8:15am and students go to the office and are marked tardy. It gets dark earlier now! When children are picked up late they sometimes worry and often become anxious when they have to wait in the office. Please do your best to be on time. Call our office at 760-901-7000. We may need to meet with you if the problem is reoccurring.

Cold and Flu Season is Here!
Cold and flu season is upon us. Health officials are warning there may be high levels of influenza compared to the past two years, when COVID-19 precautions helped keep flu infections low. As a reminder, please do not send your child to school if they are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of a virus. . See more prevention tips from the CDC.
Safety First!!!
Parent Volunteer Safety Patrol Needed
Libby Elementary always has a focus on safety! It is one of the most important concerns. We would like to start a Volunteer Safety Patrol to help us direct traffic, assist in helping children exit and enter their cars, and keeping our students safe during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. If you have a focus on safety and have time during the morning, 7:45-8:15am and/or 2:10pm-3:15pm, we would appreciate your help. We can create a schedule and with enough volunteers, it would be just 30 minutes of your time once or twice a week. Please contact Mrs. Campisi at kristina.campisi@oside.us for more information. Thank you!
Keep CLEAR!
New Signs! Drop Off/Pick Up Zone
Please follow our new signs and do not drop off/pick up students until you move all the way down the curb. DO NOT PARK ON THE CURB! When you drop off/pick up before the drop-off/pick up zone, cars back up on to W. Redondo Dr and that is very DANGEROUS! Please be safe and courteous for all families and their students.

📓School News You Can Use 🍎
Call our Attendance Hotline to report your child's absence.
Students Out More Than 5 days Need an Independent Study Contract. Please Read!
Independent Study Contracts
If your child will be away from school longer than 5 days, please let us know ahead of time (at least a week prior) so that we can prepare an Independent Study Contract. The contract will first need to be approved by the principal and will include school work for your child to complete so that the missing days from school will not be considered "unexcused". Please call our office at 760-901-7000 or stop by to speak with an office staff member. Without approval or without prior notice to set up the contract, the days missed will be marked "unexcused". Thank you for your cooperation!
Weekly Envelope!
Every week your child takes home a weekly information envelope. Inside are important flyers, letters, and items that need your attention. Please remove the items and return the signed envelope back to school with your child. Thank you!

Attendance Matters!
Please be sure your child arrives on time and attends school every day! When students miss school they miss valuable learning time. If your child is sick, please keep them home until they are feeling better. Please report all absences to our Attendance Hotline at 760-901-7001. Attendance Matters! Every student! Every day! Thank you for your help and support.
Libby Bell Schedule/Horario de la escuela
