Homecoming Edition

5K for Five

HOSA and DECA are hosting the school's first ever 5k on September 25th.

The name of the event is "The Fifth Quarter 5k." It will be held Friday evening thirty minutes after the Homecoming game. The initial cost of the event is $20.00, and it will consist of a t-shirt, bracelet, and a glow item of your choice. Participants will start at the school's track and continue on through the Stewarts Creek campus.

Grab this chance to not only have a fun time but also to benefit the five selected charities which include: Leukemia, Lymphoma Society, A.R.E, A Soldier's Child, Candle Wishes, and the American Diabetes Association.

Stewarts Creek High School has the ability to make a difference. Take advantage of this opportunity, and let's run together as one team!

Dream Big and Soar

Stewarts Creek is hosting a Door SwAg Competition where only the best can represent.

Fourth period teachers and students show your school spirit by decorating your door for the chance to win a VIP pizza party!

The doors will be judged for all the following: interpretation of the theme for homecoming, artistic creativity, neatness of effort, adherence to guidelines, and relevance to school spirit.

Our school goal is to have 100 percent participation from all our fourth period classes. Do you have what is takes to be the 2015-2016 Door SwAg winner? If so make sure your door is completed by Thursday, September 24th at 3:30. Make your class dream come true.

The Great Half-Time Reveal

Homecoming is an exuberant celebration, kicked off with a hearty football game to welcome back alumni.

The Homecoming Court nominees will be celebrated at the football game on Homecoming night. The student elected ladies will be sporting various hues, which will correspond to their class year. As half-time approaches, the selected ladies will make their way across the football field with their gentlemen of choice. They will advance through a tunnel, which will be an assembly of the JROTC, as the band serenades them. After all of the candidates have made their way to the front of the field the winner will be announced.

If you want to know who your Homecoming queen will be, make sure you are at the game this Friday by half-time.
