PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Summit Road STEM Elementary School Community,
We are falling into a change of temperatures but things are just heating up in our building! Classrooms are buzzing, students are learning, and teachers are challenging and engaging students in thoughtful and relevant ways.
As we enter into the fall months and temperatures continue to drop, please remember students need coats, jackets, hats, and gloves. We will go outside for recess provided the temperature is at least 32° with wind chill.
I enjoyed seeing many of you as you came in to attend Parent Teacher Conferences. At Summit Road STEM we value communication between home and school and appreciate having the opportunity to work collaboratively to ensure that your child is able to experience success at school. A special “Thank You” to PTO for proving dinner and desserts for staff during those long nights.

PARENT UNIVERSITY
There will be three (3) sessions for the 2019-2020 school year, beginning with Bullying, then discussing Social and Emotional Learning. The final session for the school year will focus on a topic based on parent feedback.
Parent University will consist of active participation, whole group information and small group discussion and is appropriate for parents of students ages K-12 grade levels. The district will provide childcare for school-aged children K-5. In addition, there will be food trucks, prizes and more.
We hope you can join us for Parent University, as we work to build an inclusive community where students feel safe, supported and engaged.
PARENTS NIGHT OUT
LIMIT TO THE FIRST 50 KIDS - so sign up now so you don't miss out!
COST: $5.00 per student
(payment can be sent into school or pay at the door with cash/check)
DETAILS: Let us help you get some errands ran, have a date night, or just enjoy some quiet time to yourself. We will have some arts and crafts, pizza, popcorn, water/juice and be showing a movie for the kids to enjoy.

2. Visit the RCS Business Office to complete the BCI fingerprinting process. (NO COST to you, but you will need to bring your photo i.d.)

8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Your approved volunteer status is good for five (5) years.
