St. Therese Family Newsletter - June 10, 2021

Endings and New Beginnings

Friday, June 11th is the last day of school for the St. Therese Class of 2021. They have been through quite a lot this year and they will soon have 8th grade diplomas to show for it!

There are no words to adequately express what these young people have overcome during the pandemic, and how much they have taught us about perseverance, endurance, and strength. We are better educators because of them.

Please keep our 8th graders in your prayers as they prepare to close out their time at St. Therese and embark on the next leg of their journey.

God bless you all,

Rosemarie El Youssef

Principal, St. Therese School

8th graders who have family attending mass are welcome to go home with their family following school mass. If younger siblings are also going home with you, please check them out at the office.

No extended care.

8th Grade Graduation

Commissioning mass: Friday, June 11th at 10 a.m.

Graduation Ceremony: Tuesday, June 15th at 6 p.m. in the church

Unfortunately, due to health and safety guidelines it is not open to the entire community. We will be live-streaming so that any family members unable to attend can still watch!

Devices, Desks, and Textbooks

If you signed out an iPad, Chromebook, mouse, keyboard, or desk from the school in the fall to help support your student through distance learning, we need those items back. Desks can be brought to school and dropped off near the gym - just give us a call and we will meet you over there!

Students can bring devices back to their teacher - we have had several come back WITHOUT chargers. All devices checked out in the fall were released with a charger and they are expensive. You will be charged for those missing items, or asked to replace them.

Thank you for hanging in there with us through the madness of the pandemic. We made it!

Summer Camps at La Salle

Summer is almost here! Are you looking for a fun summer camp to meet new friends? Do you want to come play with friends for a full or a half day camp? La Salle Prep is offering morning and afternoon youth camps this summer for students entering grades 1-8. Choose a half day option (most camps run 9-noon or 1-4) or stay the entire day – register for your favorite activity and spend the week on La Salle’s 34 acre campus. Check out our Falcon youth camps during the weeks of July 5-9 and July 12-16 and two more athletic camps in August.

La Salle summer camps are organized into three different age groups: Lil' Falcons (grades 1-3), Flyin' Falcons (grades 4-6), and Fightin' Falcons (grades 6-8). Incoming 6th graders may choose whichever camp group they would prefer. Camps include Dance, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, and Art & Design. If students register for both a morning camp and afternoon camp they are welcome to stay on campus for a supervised lunch. Campers must bring their own lunches.

Read about our camps, coaches, and more at Youth Summer Camps. Register online at Register Here.

Go Falcons!

All the best,

Katie Allen
