Sensational Senators look for another top score at state
Portsmouth West High School Band, better known as the Sensational Senators, will compete Sunday, Oct. 29, in the state band competition held at the University of Dayton's Welcome Stadium.
Though they have won numerous awards and earned top ratings in previous competitions this year, the state competition is the pinnacle of their competition season. Senior Field Commander Alec Arnett stated, "The band has devoted a lot of time and preparation for finals week [week before state]. A great way to end this truly remarkable season would be to walk away with a superior rating."
Last year, the band earned a superior rating for their performance at the state competition.
