Love Your Device - GCISD Winner is CTMS!!!
We failed to mention in February that CTMS won the district-wide “Love Your Device” contest. In this contest, students were asked to create a visual that demonstrated how to care for our newly acquired technology (Chromebooks, Ipads, etc). Our students created a video that was victorious! We know that developing good device care habits is an ongoing process and are thankful that our Wolves were able to demonstrate that. There were over 100 students that participated in this year’s competition. Thanks to all who took a moment to encourage our students to take proper care of their devices.
Coming soon to CTMS... DyKnow- A way to monitor your students' computer

A-F Rating (Update)
A-F Accountability Update: This link is an article in the Texas Tribune about two bills filed recently that propose delays and changes to the A-F accountability system.
HB 22 was filed March 9th and SB 2051 was filed March 10th and both would reduce the number of rated categories from five to three. For the full text of the bills as filed, you can visit a google folder shared with you on March 22nd called 85th Legislature Accountability. Superintendents shared their thoughts on accountability and HB 22 yesterday and the bill was left pending in committee.
If you would like to monitor the progress of these two or any other bills, you can find that information here: http://www.capitol.state.tx.us/Home.aspx.
Housekeeping
- We scored a 97% on our Spring Break energy Conservation! 76/78 were in compliance. Nice work Wolves. Next time we're coming for that 100%.
- During the spring, students will become more rambunctious so let's be vigilant and active in their monitoring.
- If you are testing, please be sure to cover your walls of anything that could be deemed helpful to students.
