Theater Week - Performance is Tonight at the Campbell Auditorium - 7:00 pm

Wow! What a fabulous in school performance of our Theater Week production of "Celebrate You and ME!" Students showed the results of hard work and practice, while having fun! The children really enjoyed the show! If you would like to catch the performance this evening, it is open to all at the Campbell Auditorium at the Westwood Regional High School at 7:00. Thank you to Mrs. Mendez for her hard work in directing the show, and thank you to our parent volunteers for their time.

Important Incoming 6th Grade Parent Orientation

On Monday, May 14th at 7:00 pm, the Westwood Regional Middle School will be hosting an open house orientation program for incoming 6th grade parents. This open house is for PARENTS ONLY. This program will introduce parents to the middle school and all it has to offer their children. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend this very important program if you have a student entering 6th grade in the fall. (A separate orientation program will be held for STUDENTS ONLY on Wednesday, May 30th at 7:00 pm.)

Reminder: PARCC Third Grade

Next week our Third Grade students will be PARCCING! They will be taking the PARCC assessments in Language Arts and Math next week 5/14-5/17 with make ups on Friday, 5/18, as needed. As you know, it is important that children arrive at school on time each day (students that arrive late will not be permitted to take their assessment and will have to take it on make up dates). The children should be well rested and have a good breakfast. This is their opportunity to show what they know. They've got this!

Food Allergy Awareness Week provides a unique opportunity to help raise awareness of food allergies and anaphylaxis. A food allergy is a medical condition in which exposure to a food triggers a harmful immune response. There is no cure for food allergies. Instead, they are managed by avoiding the problem food(s), learning to recognize symptoms of reactions and receiving appropriate treatment. Each day on morning announcements students will hear an interesting fact or two about food allergies. George School will complete the week of Food Allergy Awareness by encouraging everyone to wear teal
