Ms. Munshower's Newsletter

May 31 - June 3

Our Week

Monday, we began a theme around fairy tales. Each day we read a different story, both traditional and "fractured" versions. This will be the final newsletter of the year!

On Wednesday, we had a visit from employees of TD Bank. The kids loved the notebooks they received from them. :)

Friday we had a visit from the Norristown Public Library librarian telling the kids about the special summer programs.

We have started working on Chapter 11, measurement. Much of math this week was interrupted by the show practice.

This week we worked on "your choice" writing. Each day, they wrote about a topic of their choice. Our goal was to write three sentences "like a first grader" to show how much we learned. We are trying to remember how to begin a sentence with an uppercase letter and end the sentence with a period. Our stamina, or time we write, is increasing. It is nice to see the children write "until the bell rings."
