December 2020
The Rundown from Mr. Brown
Jaguar Families,
I want to take a few minutes during this holiday season to thank each of you for making FM9 an outstanding place to learn. Without your support, the climate and culture of our campus would be very different. There is no doubt that 2020 has been a unique year for all of us but we have pushed into our circumstances well and continue to make the very best of this time. No matter the Learning Pathway you have chosen for your student I am so very proud. Both students and teachers and learning and teaching in new ways. As you know next week we take our Fall EOC tests with finals to follow before Winter Break. Let’s finish the semester well.
December STAAR Testing (EOC - End of Course Exams)
ALL STAAR tests are required for graduation.
Who is taking a STAAR/EOC Exam this fall:
** First round testers includes students currently taking an EOC tested subject this Fall (Eng I, Alg 1, & Bio). There is another round of testing in the Spring (May 2021) for students enrolled in those courses during the spring term.
Students that did not pass a test in December 2019 or prior, will have to retest (per TEA).
Testing will take place the week of December 8 -11.
NEW INFORMATION: Remote/At-home learning will take place Dec.8-11.
If your student is required to test, your student should report to campus ONLY on the date of their scheduled exam(s). Students that are NOT testing will all work remotely (including career centers).
