Small Learning Communities Parent Information Night
Please refer to our past Drake Directs regarding updated information on our SLC Redesign work.
An overview of the journey we are taking on our Small Learning Community redesign will be shared with our community on October 2, 2019 at 6:30 in the Student Center. This presentation is open for our current Drake Families only. This presentation will provide an overview of the steps we have taken, ideas we are beginning to formulate about next steps, and an opportunity for our parents to provide us input on these ideas.
We also will be offering two follow-up Parent Coffees to share updated SLC information and other discussion items for our current parents. These will take place on:
· October 30 @ 10:00 am and 6:30 pm
· December 4 @ 10:00 am and 6:30 pm
The Drake Staff have been hard at work developing our purpose for our reimagined Small Learning Communities and the main student outcomes for these programs. We look forward to sharing these with you and our other ideas we are working on for moving us into the future.
We are going to be meeting with the 8th grade families and middle school communities, both Whitehill and Lagunitas, in December. We ask that if your student does not attend Drake currently, please attend a Middle School meeting. These meetings are open to any incoming Pirate:
- November 20 @ 6:30 in the Drake Student Center
- December 5th @ 6:30 in the Drake Student Center
- December 11th @ 6:30 at Lagunitas School.
