Heritage Studies: We will continue with Chapter 4 this week. We will be discussing landforms, climates, and America's neighbors. We will be making a model of a landforms and labeling a variety of landforms.
Spelling: We will begin a new rule this week-"Ladie's First". Many of us know this rule as, "When vowels go a-walking, the first one does the talking." These words contain double vowels- the vowel sound comes from the first vowel in the word. Ex. meat, eagle, air, chair.
Reading: This week we will focus on the following comprehension strategies: 1.Use text features, picture captions, text headings 2. Use main idea and supporting details to determine importance. We will be reading “Dogs at Work" and "Sam's Surprise."
Owl Pellet Dissection

Emily and Autumn Day!
These two sweet friends declared Friday "Emily and Autumn Day!"
These two were not sure what to think about the owl pellets! Yucky!!
Memory Verse #2
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house there are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may also be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
We wrote down some fun facts in our fun owl books.
Our owl books describe owl characteristics, what they eat, and what types of habitats they live in.
Owl Pellet Dissection
