Last Day to Order This Year's Yearbook is May 8--Orders Must Be Place Online
All yearbooks will be mailed home directly by the yearbook company. Yearbooks MUST be ordered online. This is a change from our regular practice—in typical years, we order extra yearbooks that we sell in the building at the end of the school year. We cannot do this this time. Therefore, we are extending online ordering to Friday, May 8. To order a yearbook, click here. If you need to check to see if you placed a yearbook order, please email Kristen Gerth at kgerth@cbsd.org. We want to make sure that every student who would like a yearbook, regardless of financial situation, gets a yearbook. If your child would like a yearbook and you are experiencing a financial difficulty at this time, please email one of the following staff members and we will make sure a yearbook is sent to your home: Brian Caughie, Kyle Dudley, Jeff Klein, Mandy Cammann, Lauren Myrtetus.

We’d love to see all Tamanend students spread positivity! We know TMS students have a lot of good vibes to share! If you do something to spread positivity, let us know! Take a picture or video and email it Señora Mars (mmars@cbsd.org) or Señora Murray (emurray@cbsd.org).
Reminder--Tamanend Students Launch Warwick Memorial Park Bricks Project
Two Tamanend 8th Graders, Julianna Smith and Andela Dozier, from Girl Scouts Troop 21638 have come up with the idea to build a walkway up to the flagpole at Warwick Memorial Park. They are asking people to purchase a brick because they feel that on the walkway, people should be able to show their support to the veterans at this memorial park. The girls are building this walkway for their Silver Award. The Girl Scout Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout cadet can achieve. It gives the girls a chance to show that they are leaders who are organized, determined, and dedicated to improving their community. To purchase a brick or get more information go to https://wmpbricks.wixsite.com/wmpbricks.
FROM OUR GUIDANCE OFFICE
- Current 9th Grade Students and Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2023: During the months of January and February, 9th Grade students completed their program planning for the 2020-21 school year. Verification Reports are now available to students and parents. Students can request a change by emailing their counselor directly. Instructions on how to access Verification Reports on the portal are below. April 27th is the last day students may change course requests for next year. Students should look over their course verifications carefully to confirm the courses they previously requested are accurate and sequentially appropriate. We understand that some students might need more time to determine their readiness for the next course in sequence. We would encourage students to have an open discussion with their teachers about recommendations/course placements for next year. At the end of the school year if a student feels they need to make a level adjustment to their requests, they should discuss this with their teacher AND email their counselor before the last day of school. However, changes to electives cannot be made after April 27th .
INSTRUCTIONS for Accessing Verification Reports:
- Login to either the parent or student portal (https://centralbuckspa.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/cbsd.jsp)
- Click on “More” option
- Click “Backpack”
- Click the “+” next to the folder “MS Course Verification” or “HS Course Verification”
- The report will generate a PDF document
- IMPORTANT: Please check the box at the top of the document, acknowledging that you have viewed your child’s Verification Report. This does not mean that changes can’t still be made. Changes can be made by contacting your child’s counselor by April 27th
- Please continue to check the Guidance Web Site for information, resources, and lessons regarding the Coronavirus.
Student Assistance Program (SAP)
Reminder--Help is Down the Hall
The Tamanend Student Assistance Program (SAP) Team is a group of trained faculty members who can connect students with appropriate help and resources if they show signs of struggling with mental health concerns or alcohol/substance use. If you notice concerns such as major changes in behavior or mood, drop in achievement, or use of drugs or alcohol, then you may consider a SAP referral. When the team receives a referral, we gather more information to determine if there is a need for intervention and further assessment. The information is confidential, and the process is for the purpose of offering help. Anyone can refer a student about whom they are concerned. Referrals can be made at this referral link or by contacting a SAP team member:
Mrs. Barlow, Mrs. Cammann, Sra. Corsino, Mr. Dudley, Mr. Heisey,
Mr. Klein, Mrs. Myrtetus, Ms. Scheffey, & Mrs. Szagola

Central Bucks School District is closely monitoring the CDC’s recommendations as well as those from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Bucks County Health Department. You may review the latest recommendations from the CDC on their website at www.cdc.gov. At this time, the best advice is to practice the same common-sense preventative measures that are recommended every cold and flu season, including proper hand washing and staying home when sick.
