4-H Early Enrollment is Due March 15

All youth and volunteers who would like to participate in the York County 4-H program should complete their online enrollment here: 4-H Online

Early enrollment is due March 15. It is important to get enrolled by this date so you are receiving the most current communication from our office. Those who enroll by this date will receive an extra pop or comparable item at the 4-H Food Stand during County Fair. Payment must be received by the office for enrollment to be complete.

Reminder: If you have completed the online portion, you are not considered "enrolled" until you have paid the enrollment fee.

Enrollment fee is $5 per member.

CSI: Crop Science Investigation

Monday, March 13th, 5:30-6:30pm

A workshop series for youth interested in science, agriculture, plants, crops, insects, or diseases. Each meeting will have different topics for you to become a detective to solve a problem and learn about science, crops, and plants in the process!

Calling Camp Counselors

Counselors are needed for this year's regional Jr. 4-H Camp at Whispering Cedars in Genoa. Camp dates are June 7-9. Counselors must be at least 16 years of age before January 1 of the current year. Applications are due April 21. If interested in applying, contact Tanya.

4-H Clover Chase: A Nebraska 150 Event

Nebraska 4-H, in partnership with the Nebraska 4-H Foundation, is celebrating the Nebraska Statehood 150 with the 4-H Clover Chase!

Between March 1 - August 15, 2017, Nebraska 4-H will be hosting a photo scavenger hunt for all 4-H members. Using an app, participants will complete challenges and submit photo entries on social media using #NE4HChase. After submitting photos and earning 150 points, participants will be eligible to receive a commemorative water bottle from their local Nebraska Extension Office and will be entered into a drawing to win a drone with video capability. The Nebraska Extension Office with the highest percentage of participation wins a free National Youth Science Day kit!

NEW Interative 4-H Pick Your Project

The NEW interactive, web-based Nebraska 4-H Pick Your Project can be found online at http://nebraska4hprojects.com! This project selection guide is accessible through the Nebraska 4-H website on the club, volunteer, and parents/youth resource pages. Using the Pick Your Project, youth, volunteers, and parents will be able to search for projects by keywords, project areas, curriculum areas, experience levels, and projects that contain State Fair and/or County Fair eligible entries.

As an added feature, the web-based Pick Your Project contains the same project codes that are shown in the 4HOnline Enrollment system, making it easier to match the exciting 4-H projects you are learning about in the Pick Your Project with the projects you are enrolling in through 4HOnline.

Explore over 150 Nebraska 4-H projects through the Nebraska 4-H Pick Your Project app and find the 4-H projects that will help you grow throughout 2017!
