News and Notes August 30, 2020
A Note from the Principal
Dear Parents,
We are absolutely thrilled to have our students back on campus. As we close out our first full week of school, we continue to evaluate our new procedures and protocols. Simply put, our students have done an amazing job!
This News and Notes is packed with important information and I ask that you take some time to read each section.
***Please note that next week we have a different schedule for the week of Labor Day. Although it is our originally posted schedule, it can cause some confusion. In order to get both Hybrid Groups two days of instruction, our schedule will be Tuesday-Group A and Wednesday-Group A & Thursday-Group B and Friday-Group B for the week of September 7th.

Trash Bags Are Coming!
I’m happy to announce that our trash bags from last spring’s fundraiser will be delivered to the school on August 31, 2020. That means it is almost time to pick up your trash bag orders.
This year, we are doing things differently. There will not be a variety of pick up days. Pick up will not be located in the ECDC parking lot. There will be assigned times and very different pick up methods to comply with health and safety restrictions. Read on for full details.
We are dividing families into tiers based on the number of trash bags you’ve sold. Your tier determines your pickup date and method.
PLEASE NOTE: UNSCHEDULED DROP-IN PICKUPS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
Tier 1: 70 Rolls or more
We will individually contact you to coordinate pick up on August 31, 2020. This will be the only date for pick up for this tier. Pick ups will be conducted at the Porte Cochere.
Tier 2: 10-70 Rolls
Your pick up date will be on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, if your children are in Group A or Wednesday, September 2, 2020, if they are in Group B. You will be required to sign up online for a specific pick up time on your pick up date. Pick ups will be conducted at the Porte Cochere. Pick up times will be:
7:30 AM – 8:00 AM
8:00 AM to 8:30 AM
2:30 PM – 3:00 PM
3:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Please click on the link below to sign up for your pickup time. Group A families must sign up for Tuesday, September 1, 2020, and Group B families must sign up for Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

Tier 3: 10 Rolls or Less
Your oldest child will have the order sent home with them on Tuesday, September 1, 2020, if they are in Group A or Wednesday, September 2, 2020, if they are in Group B. If your oldest child is in ECDC, then your order will be placed in the ECDC gym and you will need to pick it up.
UNSCHEDULED DROP-IN PICK UPS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
It is very important that each family sign up for a specific time and pick up their trash bag orders at the specified time. This will allow us to comply with COVID social distancing guidelines and reduce exposure to our volunteers, your family, and our community at large.
Please note, any orders not picked up by the end of the day on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, run the risk of being donated to Catholic Charities. In the past, we have had a small number of families fail to pick up their orders for months and this has burdened ECDC with having to store these orders indefinitely and drop everything to accommodate these families when they decided to pick up their orders. Now, with restrictions in place on entering buildings due to COVID-19, we simply cannot indefinitely store and fulfill trash bag orders for families that fail to pick up their orders.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or Trash Bag Fundraiser Chairperson Robert Denton at RobertSDenton@gmail.com.
As always, thank you for your support of Marquette and ECDC!Virtual RISE Trivia

Covid-19 Updates
We continue to monitor Covid-19 and the impact on our school community. Our Medical Advisory Committee discusses the trends we see across the Tulsa area, state, and country each week. We had a successful week and hope this trend continues. We strongly urge you to continue to make a concerted effort to continue best practices to prevent the spread of Covid. We all want to remain in school and return to full-time instruction. We have gone to great lengths to protect our community on campus and we cannot thank you enough for your support of our policies and procedures. We ask that you take the same precautions outside of school.
-Students will now be allowed to play on the playground big toy.
-We are beginning the process of allowing more volunteers on our campus while observing our school policies and procedures. In the coming days, we will send out information for lunch room volunteers
