Principal's Message

Dear Ride Families,

During this season of gratitude, we would like to acknowledge how fortunate we are to work with your child each day! And be surrounded by a caring and supportive community.

We wish you all the Hope, Wonder, and Joy that the season can bring and it is filled with warm moments and cherished memories with your family and friends.

Our character trait this month is kindness. We talk about it on announcements every day. Mrs. Collins gives daily examples, kindness challenges and one of the challenges was to write a poem.

Below is a special poem written by a fourth grade student, Isabella O.

Kindness

Kindness can come from anywhere

It can come from you,

from everyone around you,

and it is your job to spread kindness.

When we’re kind, we are Better Together.

* Always believe something wonderful is about to happen.

Happy Holidays from our family to yours!!

See you next year!! 1/6/2021

Cookie Exchange

Because of these "challenging" times to ensure everyone's safety, we did not have our traditional cookie exchange. Our wonderful PTO stepped up and supplied ALL the staff with homemade cookies from one of our own, Mrs. Boland!

We love and appreciate our Sally K. Ride Family so much!

A BIG HEARTFELT THANK YOU

At Sally K. Ride, we have the most amazing, supportive and generous parents! Through their kindness, our parents went above and beyond in their generosity shown to our school, especially our Pre-Kindergarten. It truly takes a village and we recognize YOU!!

Thank you,

Sally K. Ride

COVID Tracing

As the Holiday season approaches, there will likely be many opportunities for students to gather outside of school with friends and loved ones. During this time, please express to your child the importance of taking precautions to slow the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks, frequently washing hands, and social distancing. We all must work together as partners to balance the need for social interaction and celebration with keeping our schools open to in-person learning. Our partnership is critical in order to keep students and staff safe and in school throughout the holiday season. Should your child test positive for COVID-19 over the Thanksgiving Break, we ask that you email your child’s campus at contactride@conroeisd.net so we can provide the appropriate support and make the required notifications. Thank you.
