From the Principal
We had a successful School Improvement Day on Monday, January 9th. Our teams focused on conversations regarding winter iReady data, schoology, and our school - wide behavior data.
- Since returning from break, each classroom had Mrs. Rockwell, Mrs. Woyna, Mrs. Heuser or myself join them for 20 minutes to review school wide expectations. In addition to classroom teachers doing this consistently, we value each staff member speaking the same language to our students.
- Just a friendly reminder, we have some coaches and players from the Chicago Steel Hockey team coming to Munhall on Monday morning. The coaches and players focus for the assembly will be on promoting specific character traits. I am really excited for our students to be exposed to some new positive role models.
- Another friendly reminder, we have an early student release on Wednesday, January 25th. Student dismissal will be at 2:10.

Note from the Nurse
If you have a Kindergarten or Second grade student, please remember to turn in their dental forms prior to the May 15th deadline.
As we all know there has been an increase in respiratory illnesses the past few weeks. Please remember that students who test positive for Covid are required to stay home for 5 full days. Day zero is the first day of symptoms. We highly advise, however do not require, wearing a mask upon return to school through day 10 to help prevent the spreading Covid to other students and staff.
