Big picture

State Bound!

The SCW FFA member's hard work paid off at District 4 LDE's tonight - we have multiple teams and individuals state bound on December 8-9th in Pierre.


1st place - Ag Issues (Katie, Samantha, Megan, Josie, Carter, Aiden and Devyn)


The Ag Issues Team Presentation is on the hot topic of Lab-Made Beef vs. Traditional Beef. Members have been able to present this topic to companies such as Dakotaland, Woony Foods and Jack Link's.


2nd place - AG Sales (Mason, Tryce, Xavier and Noah)

The Ag Sales team acts as a national turf and lawn sales specialist for Bayer, trying to sell their products.


2nd place - Prepared Public Speaking (Bailey)

Bailey's speech is on Mental Health of farmers and other careers within the agricultural industry.


2nd place - Extemporaneous Speaking (Carter)


3rd place - Employment Skills (Katie)

3rd place - AG Broadcasting (Bailey)

Ear Notching in Animal Science

Sophomore ag students were able to practice their swine ear notching techniques on fruit roll-ups.

Senior Ag Issues Team Tours Jack Link's

The seniors were able to present their ag issues forum based on lab-made versus conventionally raised beef to employees at Jack Link's in Alpena. After their presentation, the FFA members were able to listen to a presentation on the facility and take a tour of the plant.

1st Annual Halloween Carnival a Success

The 1st annual FFA Halloween Carnival held on October 26th was a huge hit! Kids dressed in their costumes were seen having fun playing the carnival games and going through the haunted house. We will see you again next year!
