Renaissance Accelerated Reader
Accelerated Reader is a computer program that helps teachers and media specialists manage and monitor children’s independent reading practice. Your child picks a book at his own level and reads it at his own pace. When finished, your child takes a short quiz on the computer. (Passing the quiz is an indication that your child understood what was read.) Accelerated Reader gives children, teachers, and librarians feedback based on the quiz results, which the teacher then uses to help your child set goals and direct ongoing reading practice.

Khan Academy
Khan Academy is a free online resource that allows students to learn anytime, anywhere, with material that is uniquely appropriate for them. Students can explore new topics and strengthen their skills by doing practice problems and tutorials. As students learn, their activity feeds into reports that show important information such as strengths and weaknesses in a particular concept. By using Khan Academy, you'll be able to provide a more personalized learning experience for your child.
YouScience Aptitude Test
WHAT YOU LIKE
Do you have a favorite hobby? Game? Would you rather be hanging outside – or staying indoors? All of that – your preferences, your interests, your favorites – impact the careers that you will most enjoy. And while interests change as we grow and experience new things, what you like today is important in planning your next steps!
WHAT YOU DO WELL
What is an “aptitude” anyway? It’s a shorter way of saying “the natural ability”. You have some amazing talent. Everyone does. Some of us are talented test takers or project makers, story writers or puzzle solvers. Whatever you excel at, YouScience can help uncover the kind of problems your brain is wired to solve and connect that potential with the programs and careers that need YOU.
IT ALL COMES TOGETHER
Your best-fit future can be found where your talent and passion meet. YouScience Discovery is designed to reveal both natural abilities & personal interests – the perfect combo. Your profile includes in-depth detail about what makes you awesome, matches to more than 500 careers, and detailed career info, like a day in the life, salary, and how to get there.
Use the following DIRECTIONS to access your YouScience Aptitude Test that your student took at school and review it with your family!
Behavior/PBIS
The free PBIS Rewards Parent App allows parents to view student point totals, number of referrals, items purchased with points, and upcoming events for which points can be used.
Once the parent downloads the app onto a smartphone, they can scan a QR code to activate a student in the app. This QR code is unique to each student and is provided to the parent via a letter from the school. The app confirms the QR code, allowing the parent to access to their student’s point totals and progress as the school year goes along. The parent can recognize and encourage positive behavior at home based on the information available in the app. Contact your child's teacher to obtain your child's QR code.
